COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL COUNSELING MODEL
The American School Counseling Association (ASCA) has created guidelines for licensed school counselors to support students in their academic, social/emotional, and career and college readiness. By utilizing their guidelines, the counseling program will include different tiers of support.

Tier One - Classroom Counseling Instruction
This tier of support resides within the classroom, giving lessons on a variety of topics such as: Promoting a Healthy Self-Image or How to Fill out a Job Application

Tier Two - Small Groups
Small groups can take place in a more personalized setting to aid students needing support in topics such as: anxiety management or social skills

Tier Three - Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is used to address any of the topics mentioned above and much more! I plan to check-in with every student each term to assure the student's academic, social/emotional and college/career goals are on track.

ASCA's National Model: Foundation, Management, Delivery, and Accountability
Foundation - Our school's Mission and Vision statement are used to propel our program's success
Management - The counseling department will utilize yearly self-assessment and a goal-oriented model to provide interventions that are tailored to student need
Delivery - Through Tier One, Tier Two, and Tier Three support levels, direct and indirect student services, up-to-date professional development and collaboration with teachers and outside resources, each student will be provided with resourceful counseling services
Accountability - The school counseling department utilizes a data-informed model to promote the highest standards of accountability. Stakeholders are welcomed to contribute.
